- Tomato Fertilizer - Should I use a slow release AND liquid fertilizer?
This year I added some slow release fertilizer (specifically made for tomatoes and vegetables) to the top 1 - 3 inches of the soil. Is this all I need to do for fertilzer this summer - or should I water with a liquid fertlizer occassionally as well? FYI - I am growing the tomatoes in containers
A i am a professional in this field, and as a professional i am telling u - it is better underfertilize than overfertilize. if u overfertilize u may kill a plant - when soil becomes too concentrated with chemicals plant starts giving water to the soil (it is called diffusion - balancing - water always goes towards more concentrated solution) instead of taking it from the soil. so if u put already solid slow release fertilizer u should let your plants bee. especially if they grow not in open soil but in containers. otherwise your plant would die of dehidration no matter how much u will water it - it will just not take any water from soil. and i hope u put exact amount of fertilizer. good luck

- Is tomato fertilizer sticks harmful to dogs?
I have a 6 month old puppy and i found an open package of the fertilizer sticks in where she plays. Not sure if she ingested any or it was empty at first. Just wondering if the sticks are poisonus.
