FAQ and Ideas for Tomato Starters
- Is it possible to earn a living growing tomato starter plants?
Im considering growing tomato starter plants and sell them at local swap meets, farmers markets, organic vegetable stores and even local nursery's (Bay Area). I want to grow hierloom and rare varities of all types and would like to know what a nurserey would pay for a 5-8 inch starter or what they pay for what. Does any one know if i can just call up and ask or do i have to have some kind of dealer licence or retail licence?

In a farmer's market setting you'll want larger plants as they appeal more to the customer and more tolerant of handling by you. How about adding herbs to your offering for the farmer's market?
