Building & Waterproofing my wooden planter that I made out of pallets. This was a fun project and just in time for spring planting! I waterproofed the planter using Rubberizeit! Liquid Rubber.
FAQ and Ideas for Wooden Planter
- Is SYNTHAPROOF suitable for protecting the inside of a wooden planter? Will it be detrimental to the soil and?
wooden planter 1m wide x 2m long from 150 x 50 sawn timber with the base from 19 thick plywood. I want to protect this planter by using Synthanproof. If I do so will it have any effect on the soil and vegetables to be grown in the planter?
A I don't know what Synthaproof is and I don't have time to look it up right now. If it is a synthetic chemical (as I would assume from the name) I personally would not use it in any vegetable garden. Vegetables take up chemicals from the soil which can deposit in the fruit, which you then eat. I like the vegetable oil idea.

How do i know what angle i need if i want to make a 6 sided wooden planter or an 8 sided planter for my garden please.
A Just made some 6 sided. 30 degrees for 6 sides. 45 degrees for 8 sided. Rough rule of thumb for overlapping 6 sided:- outside piece length x 1.5 gives "circle" diameter. So for a18" diameter you need pieces 12" long.
